Haus had a product built by four different design teams over three years. The result was a UI full of inconsistencies — 23 different button styles, six type scales, and a color system nobody could explain. With a Series B round closed and a team doubling in size, they needed a single source of truth before the inconsistency became impossible to fix.

approach

We audited the entire product before writing a single token. Every component was catalogued, duplicates were identified, and a consolidation plan was agreed with the engineering team before design work began. The final system shipped with 6 token categories, 48 base components, and full dark mode support. Documentation was written for both designers and developers so neither team had to translate for the other.
